Do you know a soggy bottom when you see one? Are you renowned for your even bake? Then Pershore Carnival Bake Competition needs you!

Children age 4-13 are invited to take part by simply baking “Grandma Anne’s Carrot Cake” as per the recipe provided by Rachael Etherington from Deli @ Pershore (available at www.pershorecarnival.co.uk).

Children age 14 and adults are invited to enter the “Showstopper” Bake competition. Simply bake and decorate a cake which represents this year’s carnival theme - “The World of Music”.

The competition is free to enter and all entries should be brought along to the Pershore Bake Marquee on Abbey Park by 11am on 29th May. Judging will start at 11:30am prompt.

Rachael and Craig Etherington owners of The Deli@Pershore and Helen Roe from Pershore Women’s Institute will be judging the bakes and will be assisted by Pershore Carnival Special Ambassadors Rhys Samuels, Lily Rusher and Maisie Bicker.

The winner of the “Showstopper” Bake will win a two course dinner for 2 courtesy of the Star Inn Pershore. The winner of the Children’s Bake will win a two hour apprenticeship session in the professional kitchen at The Star Inn where Chef Bruce will help the winner recreate their winning bake.
